Do you love Musical Theater? Here you can strengthen your skills while having fun in this action packed class.  We will teach and practice many of the skills needed to be successful on stage. Projection, blocking, facial expression, character development, confidence, singing techniques to sing correctly, proper placement, staying in character while you sing, and choreography will all be covered, while having loads of fun! Each young actor enrolled will also have the opportunity to learn the basics on how to approach sheet music and gain the fundamental skills needed to start reading sheet music like a pro! 

Our session will end with a performance that will showcase acting, singing, and dancing. 

The theme for this class is The Sound Of Music.

Prerequisite: Must have been in 2 CYT classes or at least 1 CYT show to enroll in this class.

Kane Todd

Kane is a Senior at MSU majoring in history and minoring in theatre. He has always had a passion for theatre and grew up on the stage. Kane defines his greatest joy in life as “helping someone find love for their craft and themselves on a stage.” He has been a part of the CYT family for over four years now. Here at CYT Lake Charles he has instructed a variety of classes/workshops, assisted with two summer camps, worked on six stage productions, and most recently was the Director for Into the Woods the Musical.
