Description

Take your acting to the next level in this intensive monologue class designed for passionate teen performers ready to deepen their craft. Students will explore a wide range of contemporary and classical monologues, sharpen audition techniques, and develop strong character work through voice, movement, and emotional connection. This class emphasizes detailed text analysis, performance stamina, and bold choices—pushing students to discover new levels of authenticity and stage presence. Ideal for those preparing for auditions, competitions, or college theatre programs. Students must be ages 15-18 years of age to take this class.

Kane Todd

Kane is a graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in History and a Minor in Theatre. He is currently teaching US History and Theatre 1-4 at Sulphur High. He has always had a passion for theatre and grew up on the stage. Kane defines his greatest joy in life as “helping someone find love for their craft and themselves on a stage.” He has been a part of the CYT Lake Charles family for over five years now. At CYT Lake Charles he has instructed a variety of classes/workshops, assisted with four summer camps, worked on ten stage productions, and most recently was the Director for Cinderella the Musical for CYT Lake Charles.
