There’s more to bringing a show to life than what happens on stage! In this hands-on class for ages 12-18, students will explore the creative production elements that help transform a script into a fully realized theatrical world. With a special focus on props, students will learn about designing, creating, sourcing, & adapting pieces for the stage while also exploring areas such as costumes, scenic elements, set dressing, and more. Best of all, students will have the opportunity to create & contribute actual production elements for CYT Lake Charles’ Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” This is a non-performance class & will not perform at Showcase.
