Are you ready to audition?

  1. Choose an audition slot.
  2. Prepare your 1-minute song and 1-minute monologue.
  3. Complete the audition form you'll receive after signing up for an audition spot.
  4. Plan to attend the required audition days.

Audition slots

Where,when, and how?

Preparation:

  • Prepare a one-minute song and a one-minute memorized monologue.
  • Complete the audition form (This will be sent to you after your sign up for an audition spot)
    • Must be sumitted at least 24 hours prior to your audition slot
Times and Location:
  • St Luke Simpson Methodist 1500 Country Club (not the class location)
  • Check your audition slot (either Thursday August 20th or Friday August 21st)
Dance Audition (everyone must participate):
  • Saturday August 21st- 9:00a-11:00a.
  • Auditoners will be divided into two time slots
  • You'll be notified of your call time for dance prior.
  • Slots are 9-10am OR 10- 11am 
Callbacks by Invitation
  • Saturday August 21st at 1:00 p.m. (following dance auditions) and continue until completed
  • An email will be sent after the dance auditions with a list of students called back for chemistry reads and specific character songs.
  • TAP Callback-for students being considered for roles and/or dance assignments that require tap dancing.
    • Bring tap shoes if you own a pair 
    • If you do not own tap shoes, tennis shoes are acceptable
    • Please do not wear character shoes
Please note: Receiving a callback does not guarantee a role, and not receiving a callback does NOT mean you aren't cast in the show.

ATTIRE:
  • First Audition Attire
    • Wear your Sunday best but be comfortable.
  • Dance Audition Attire
    • Wear workout clothes and closed-toe shoes for dancing (no Crocs or sandals).
    • Tennis shoes, jazz shoes, or tap shoes (for tap call) only.
Callback Attire
  • Same comfortable clothing as dance audition as there may be movement requirements. 

First Time Families

  • Classes – Sign up for a class in order to participate in a show.
  • Auditions – Sign up for an audition time. Visit the show page for the audition link.
  • Callbacks – You may or may not be called back for additional auditioning.
  • Cast & Production Fee – Once cast, there is a $250 production fee per student.
  • Rehearsals – Rehearsals are typically held on Friday nights and Saturdays.
  • Parent Production Teams – Parents volunteer during designated set days and performances.
    • All volunteers are required to complete Child Safety Training and consent to a background check.
  • Performances – There are 5 performances, all taking place during one week.
  • Strike – After the final show, everyone helps clean up and put everything away.
